On July 31, the highly anticipated "2025 PV Industry Quality Improvement & Innovation Summit and Advanced PV Demonstration Technologies Symposium" concluded successfully in Lanzhou, Gansu. Jointly organized by China Huaneng Group Clean Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd., National Solar PV Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center (CPVT), Huaneng Gansu Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Huaneng (Jiayuguan) New Energy Co., Ltd., the symposium aimed to drive technological innovation and quality enhancement across the photovoltaic industry. As a leading enterprise in PV encapsulation materials, Betterial was invited to deliver a keynote speech, sharing its latest research achievements in perovskite and tandem module encapsulation technologies.
At the symposium, Geng Feng, Head of Betterial’s Product Testing and Inspection Center, presented a keynote speech titled "Selection of Encapsulation Films for Perovskite and Perovskite Tandem Modules in Multi-Scenario Applications." He detailed Betterial’s cutting-edge research in perovskite and perovskite tandem module encapsulation, emphasizing its technical advantages across diverse application scenarios. Geng highlighted that stability remains a critical bottleneck in perovskite commercialization, where encapsulation technology plays a decisive role. Betterial has long focused on reliability research for perovskite and perovskite tandem module encapsulation. Its newly launched Betterial® perovskite and perovskite tandem encapsulation
films employ thermoplastic encapsulation technology, breaking through traditional temperature limitations to deliver exceptional cross-linking and peel strength under low-temperature encapsulation conditions. The unique peroxide-free formulation system effectively eliminates the risk of chemical corrosion to perovskite layers caused by residual peroxide decomposition in conventional cross-linked films, significantly enhancing the stability and reliability of perovskite and tandem modules.
During the concurrent "2025 PV Industry Product Quality Data Analysis Meeting," industry association leaders, CPVT experts, power companies, and representatives from upstream/downstream PV enterprises held in-depth discussions on product quality enhancement. Experts emphasized that with the continuous expansion of PV installations, the industry must strengthen technological innovation and quality control. Association leaders, CPVT, and major power companies all called for higher standards in PV product quality. Attendees shared proactive measures and achievements in innovation, pledging to leverage technological advances for a higher-quality, more efficient, and sustainable future for the PV industry.
Moving forward, Betterial will continue to deepen its expertise in encapsulation materials, strengthen collaboration with industry partners, and jointly explore pathways for PV technology advancement. The company remains committed to supporting the global energy transition and contributing to the achievement of carbon neutrality goals.
