Innovative Materials, Imagining Zero Carbon | Betterial Shines at SNEC with Full-Scene PV Encapsulation Technologies

2025-06-17

From June 11–13, the global solar and energy storage event SNEC 2025 was held at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center. As a leading enterprise in PV encapsulation materials, Betterial made a significant appearance under the theme "Innovative Materials, Imagining Zero Carbon," showcasing its full-scene PV encapsulation technologies and innovative material solutions. The company highlighted breakthroughs in tandem perovskite, BC, desert PV, and other cutting-edge fields while advancing product reliability through authoritative certifications and strategic collaborations, driving high-quality and sustainable industry development.

Core Technologies: Unlocking New Frontiers in Full-Scene Encapsulation
At this exhibition, Betterial presented comprehensive encapsulation technologies for perovskite modules, BC modules, desert PV, lightweight modules, full-screen color modules, and 0BB modules, delivering superior cost-effective and reliable material solutions for diverse applications.

Tandem Perovskite Module Encapsulation Solution
Betterial® Tandem Perovskite Film employs thermoplastic encapsulation technology, breaking traditional temperature limits. It achieves exceptional crosslinking and peel strength under low-temperature lamination. Its unique peroxide-free formulation eliminates chemical corrosion risks to perovskite layers from residual peroxide decomposition, enhancing module stability and reliability.

BC Module Encapsulation Solution
Betterial launched BC-specific ultra-barrier film, leveraging proprietary high-barrier technology for superior PID resistance. The self-developed Weston® BC insulating adhesive features rapid curing, damp-heat resistance, and anti-yellowing properties. Combined with infrared high-reflectance black encapsulation materials, it boosts conversion efficiency and long-term stability, offering a performance-aesthetic balance.

Desert PV Module Encapsulation Solution
For extreme environments, Betterial® Desert PV Film utilizes UVB dynamic cut-off and customized spectral adaptation technology, effectively blocking short-wave UV damage to N-type cell passivation layers. This significantly improves power generation efficiency and reliability under high-temperature, sandstorm, and other harsh conditions, supporting integrated "power generation–desert control–ecological restoration" models in arid regions.

0BB Module Encapsulation Technology
Betterial’s 0BB technology adopts low-grammage EVA skin film with ≥92% transmittance, ≤3% haze, and 99.5% lamination yield. Dedicated encapsulation ensures <3% degradation after double IEC tests and zero EL defects post-TC600, reducing LCOE while achieving cost-efficiency goals.

Lightweight Module Encapsulation Solution
Betterial’s LightUP® reinforced frontsheet balances lightweight design (60% lighter than conventional modules) and high performance through polymer composites and structural optimization, maintaining impact resistance and weatherability. Paired with lightweight reinforced backsheets, high-reflectance black backsheets, and transparent backsheets—integrated with Weston® coating materials—it establishes a full-chain encapsulation system for weight-sensitive scenarios like aging roofs and mobile energy.

Full-Screen Color Module Encapsulation Solution
Addressing architectural aesthetics, Betterial® Color Film achieves ≥85% transmittance while minimizing power loss in colored modules. This technology offers an artistic and economical solution for BIPV, accelerating urban green transitions.

Materials for Energy Storage/Power Batteries
In energy storage and power batteries, Betterial displayed composite copper foil technology, Glaze® insulating coatings for ESS/lithium batteries, and cell insulating tapes. These flame-retardant, thermally insulating, and dielectric materials enhance safety and energy density in new-energy ESS and power batteries.

Key Events: Authoritative Certifications Validate Technological Strength
Betterial hosted milestone events during the exhibition, underscoring its leadership through certifications and partnerships:

New Product Launch: Next-gen desert PV film optimized for extreme environments, offering tailored solutions for global arid-region projects.

TÜV Rheinland Certification: Betterial® Desert PV Film received TÜV Rheinland certification, affirming world-class weatherability and reliability.

CPVT Outdoor Validation: Awarded a one-year outdoor operational certificate by CPVT, confirming stable performance and leading power generation efficiency.

CPVT Strategic Partnership: Jointly building a full-scene validation platform for long-term data tracking, reliability optimization, and technological iteration.

Innovation Spotlight: Technical Seminars Drive Industry Advancement
Betterial hosted multiple technical seminars at its booth, deep-diving into cutting-edge encapsulation applications:

Desert PV film demonstrated PID resistance and weatherability breakthroughs via data visualization.

LightUP® frontsheet/backsheet principles and structural designs highlighted lightweight-reliability synergy.

Innovations in Weston® BC/0BB thermal-/UV-curing adhesives and waterproof insulating tapes revealed new cost-reduction pathways.

Under the "dual carbon" goals, Betterial leverages innovative materials to optimize global energy structures and build a zero-carbon future. The company remains committed to material R&D and technological innovation, partnering with global stakeholders to unlock new energy possibilities.
